Under the Sea Edition.
Because Finding Dory came out a few days ago and I spent another 5+ hours on Nationalgeographic.com tonight, it’s time to dig up another profession from the childhood vault of dead dream jobs: a marine biologist. I’m going to say it was because I wanted to save the Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtles but essentially it’s the closest I’d ever come to becoming a mermaid. In 6th grade at good ole’ Thayer Academy, all students had to take a full year of Marine Biology and in turn memorize literally 500 species of sea life, which has only made me useful in Exotic Pet stores and allowed me to act like Ken Jennings from Jeopardy when I’m watching Finding Nemo. So here’s to the National Geographic Rabbit Hole:An ocean photographer snapped a few viral shots of a fish living inside of a jellyfish…which literally no one can explain.
Remember the crazy-scary Anglerfish from Finding Nemo? We’ll here’s a short and super cool history behind these bioillusinsent species.
Literally the strangest and completely nonsensical animal, I call dibs on forever using this as my spirit animal. The Verge gave this animal a review and the copy of the article is utterly on point.
