Ow’l bet you’re just a hoot
We’ve all had those Mornings. The ones during which you become one with the couch; your physical labor for the day maxes out at lying horizontally on cushions; your earthly existence screeches to complete halt; you chose to take a sharp detour off of the highway of self-loathing onto the bumpy off-road of pure denial.
In case we’ve never discussed this, I’m big into spirit animals – being a self proclaimed cross between a Lion and the Lockness Monster. Some spirit animals are purely situational so for those delicate scenarios where that “one glass ofSauvignon Blanc” spirals out of control and next thing you know you’re drinking something that has been brewing in a bathtub while doing Cirque du Soleil in a warehouse in Red Hook with the cast of Cats – there is finally a creature to embody the mornings you’re functioning at balmy 15-30% of your potential.
Hungover Owls is a 51 page compilation of very relatable images of owls who look absolutely miserable, exhibiting those familiar sentiments of paranoia; self-hatred; taking a long, hard look at oneself; pessimism; abysmal ability to focus; and just having a rubbish time at the whole existing-thing.
Of all the images, this is by far the most relatable gif in the collection.

The only problem is, she’s fearful of the waves. UGH.
