So How Do I Make My Apartment Livable…
Like anything in life, if you do the same process hundreds upon hundreds of times, you tend to forget that what you think are obvious nuances to pedestrians are actually complete unknowns. I am always reminded of that during this time of year because I’ll be catching up with the broker on the other side of the deal after lease signing and the renter is sitting there, partially shocked at the pure amount of money they just passed off to the two of us, but mainly a bit stumped as to what to do next. A renter getting his or her keys is like Frodo getting the ring in Lord of the Rings (I’ve never actually seen Lord of the Rings because I don’t want to spend 9 hours of my life watching a movie about lost jewelry but this is based off assumed knowledge) and is just faced with overwhelming stress and doesn’t particularly know where to start.
^ *almost* every tenant at lease signing after everything is signed and the brokers are shooting the shit about something unrelated.
