PSA: You’re Always Judged for your Restaurant Recommendation
Because a Tuesday can’t be that terrible after a breakfast sandwich consisting of perfectly cooked soft, creamy cheesy scrambled eggs paired with a divine block of hash-brown bliss
Whenever I’m walking around Manhattan midday on appointments or between showings, it always baffles me just how many people (who are not blatant European tourists) are leisurely strolling around, having unhurried afternoon cocktails, and toting around shopping bags with mini espresso cups in such a Parisian way. Let me acknowledge that I am never mistaken for any of these people because I’m always walking at slow jog, giving off some level of palpable anxiety, and wielding my purse like it’s some kind of medieval jousting weapon. While very few of us can assume this lifestyle, we can taste it with the bougie, pre-work breakfast meeting.
Since I prefer all meeting over breakfast or bourbon because I’m professional, I sadly know everywhere in the city that serves a full breakfast menu before 8am that isn’t an overdone chain or an overpriced midtown hotel lobby restaurant.
