There’s Just Something so Rustically Sexy About a Fireplace

January 3, 2020 By LizLawton

So grab a drink and share that feeling, with others, in public, at these fine establishments in New York

The closest thing to being back in the womb is sitting by a crackling fireplace, entire body enveloped by a buttery leather chair, hands cradle a hot toddy, an acoustic rendition of R. Kelly’s “Pony” croons in the background, the fleece vest with your investment bank embroidered on the chest consoles your lightly used but somehow critically worn body.

Now replicating this in your own apartment is difficult, as most landlords with a half a brain cell cap working fireplaces. Turns out, human beings who aren’t paying the mortgage and property taxes on their home are repercussion-less little fire hazards.

For those of you chasing the aesthetic ideal of roaring flames in a non-life threatening setting, here’s a dozen of the top fireplace bars for you to frequent this winter.
